Join the fun!  Support the Riders!  Volunteer Here
The Riders will need any and all volunteers they can get!  This year Shadow Tour is offering 3 laps, so riders can totally customize the distance they ride.

This means the rider flow will not be in one direction, as last year.  That means volunteers are needed to staff up all the rest stops from start to finish (instead of progressively as last year).  World Cycles is going to staff the "Hot Corner" rest stop.  Bike Wear World is going to assist with volunteers for at least one other rest stop.  Nonetheless, it is a long day out there and it would be nice to set up some relief shifts during the day.

2008 Salton Sea Century Volunteer Information

Thank you for considering joining the volunteer corps for the 2nd Annual Salton Sea Century.  Below are the primary areas we need to staff with energetic volunteers.  Volunteers are a the most important element of supporting this century.  For many riders, this will be their first ride in the low desert.  Volunteers help them by staffing the rest stops along the course and providing plenty of water, carb's, sun block, energy bars, lip balm and many other support items to keep them rolling comfortably.  Many times, a simple smile or word of encouragement from a volunteer is all a cyclist needs to keep rocking and rolling out there!  All volunteers receive a Shadow Tour Volunteer t-shirt.
